June - Month of Reunions and Family

June began with my eldest son's high school reunion.  He flew in from LA to attend and we had the pleasure of his company for a week while he re-connected with high school friends.  Of course, it also brought his grandparents from the Chicago area in for a visit.  Our home was full of activity, family and tons of fun.  This was Reunion #1.

As soon as my son flew in from Los Angeles I whisked him off to a fundraiser for Dress for Success.  It was held at Level 9 Miranova and included vodka tasting, music, dancing, amazing food and cocktails.  All for a cause near and dear to my heart.  You can find out all about Dress for Success Columbus at http://www.dressforsuccess.org/affiliate.aspx?pageid=1&sisid=122.

Reunion #2
I also had my high school reunion this month held in Downers Grove, Illinois.  This is the first high school reunion I've attended.  It was heartwarming to see classmates and friends that I haven't seen for decades.  In many cases feeling like we picked up where we left off.  It was an incredible event that was coordinated by a hardworking committee.  I'm hesitant to name them all because I wouldn't want to leave one person out.  They worked hard for two years resulting in a hugely successful reunion.  My heartfelt thanks to them.

Now onto July and back to the business of exhibiting at art shows!!
